We live in Oregon because we love all that Oregon has to offer: our Blue Mountains, our Coast Range, our High Deserts, our Scenic Oregon Coastline. We Oregonians can raft down the Rogue or the Deschutes Rivers or wind surf on the Columbia. We can go crabbing, fishing, hunting, or mining. We can climb Smith Rock or Mt. Hood or gaze up at the stars in the Painted Hills near John Day. We can watch Shakespeare plays in Ashland and Broadway plays in Portland. We can enjoy world class sports with our Portland Timbers and Portland Trailblazers. We can golf at top class courses from Pumpkin Ridge to Bandon. There’s simply no end to Oregon’s beauty, diversity and potential.
This is OUR Oregon, from our beautiful cities in the East, to our picturesque villages on the Coast, to Metropolitan Portland, to our majestic towns in the mountainous South – we are ONE Oregon.
I will do what’s best for ALL Oregonians, not just the residents of our biggest cities, but our loggers, farmers and ranchers, fishermen, small business owners, our old and our young, our middle class, our poor, our families, our entrepreneurs, our vets and our law enforcement officers – everyone matters.
That’s my vision and that’s my promise. Won’t you join me?
Meet “Ms. Dazy”
For Jo Rae’s 16th birthday, her parents gave her a 1963 Sunbeam Alpine, and her love of sportscars began. In 2011 after becoming empty nesters, Jo Rae and George, purchased this 2004 Corvette, they named Ms. Dazy. Jo Rae put over 130,000 miles driving Ms. Dazy, most of them while campaigning and attending political events. Last August, with more than 160,000 miles on the chassis, Ms. Dazy, was put into semi-retirement.
